The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Crane technician to join our skilled crane servicing team. From installing and repairing cranes and hoists to working directly with clients, you'll play a key role in ensuring safety, quality, and reliability on every job.
This role offers the opportunity to work across both regional and metro locations, supporting leading clients in the mining, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, and oil & gas industries. You'll gain valuable exposure to a variety of on-site and in-field servicing assignments. All travel and accommodation are fully provided.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service & maintain overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting gear
Fault diagnosis using electrical & electronic instruments
Install electrical switchboards and connect systems to power supply
Test circuits and ensure compliance with safety standards
Complete electronic service reports and documentation
Mentor junior technicians
What You'll Need
Unrestricted Electrical Licence - Mandatory (NZ electrical licence accepted)
Background in crane maintenance, mechanical servicing, or comparable industrial equipment roles
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in crane maintenance or mechanical servicing
Knowledge of Crane and Lifting standards AS1418 and AS2550 (highly desirable)
Strong mechanical aptitude
High-risk EWP licence & Working at Heights certification
Current Driver's Licence
Ability to travel/work away when required
Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and reporting abilities
Able to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
Australian permanent resident status required
