TRUCK TECH is looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to lead our Chipping Norton workshop.

This is an opportunity for an experienced heavy vehicle technician to step into a key leadership role within a growing business. You'll lead from the front, mentor your team, drive workshop performance, and play a major role in building a culture of safety, accountability, and quality.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day workshop operations

  • Mentor and develop apprentices and technicians

  • Allocate jobs and manage workflow to maximise productivity

  • Support diagnostic and complex repair work

  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Drive accountability, quality, and continuous improvement across the workshop

  • Lead by example and uphold TRUCK TECH standards


What You'll Bring

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology

  • Extensive experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs

  • Previous Leading Hand, Foreman, or supervisory experience

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service

  • The ability to coach, mentor, and develop others

  • Pride in your work and a willingness to uphold high standards
