About the role
Central Industries is seeking experienced Rural Fence and Structure Installers to join our growing team across New South Wales. This is a full-time position, and you will be required to travel throughout NSW to service our clients and complete installation projects. This role is fundamental to our operations, as we rely on skilled installers to deliver high-quality fencing and solar installations that meet our clients' needs and maintain Central Industries' reputation for excellence in the building trades sector. You will be part of a small team of 2 people, responsible to carry out installations to a high standard and consistently.
We are looking for a Team Leader, and a labourer/trade assistant to work alongside the TL. If you are an experienced installer and have a mate that you would be happy to work alongside, feel free to submit a joint application.
We are also open to making this a subcontract position, with a contract rate per site/project.
Key responsibilities
Install fencing and solar systems and structures for agricultural and commercial clients across NSW
Measure, assess and plan fence and structure installations at client sites
Operate hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and effectively in outdoor environments
Ensure all installations comply with relevant building standards, safety regulations and client requirements
Maintain company supplied tools, equipment and vehicles in excellent working condition
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule
Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements on all sites
What we're looking for
Proven experience in rural fencing installation, fence repair or related building trades
Strong knowledge of chain wire fencing installation, and general installation of various structures. Experience with concreting and solar installations will be highly regarded
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and machinery commonly used in fencing work
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in all weather conditions
Valid HC (or HR) driver's licence for travel throughout NSW
Experience with operation of excavators and HIAB cranes is an advantage
Excellent communication skills and professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in completing quality installations
Ability to work variable hours and be away from home for extended periods as required by project schedules and locations
Can-do attitude is required, and mechanical/welding knowledge will be useful given the rural and remote locations of work
