Field Service Technician - Industrial Shutter, Gate & Automatic Pedestrian Doors

About the role

As a Field Service Technician at Victorian Door Automation, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and maintenance for our client's automatic industrial and pedestrian doors. Work is based in Melbourne CBD & Metropolitan region however some travel outside this area may be required at times.

A minimum of 2 years previous industrial shutter experience is required, applicants without experience will not be considered.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections of automatic pedestrian doors, gates and shutters at client sites

• Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of door automation systems

• Provide timely and effective emergency callout services as required

• Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met and identify any additional service requirements

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations

• Support the wider team with installations, project work and other duties as needed

• Provide afterhours emergency assistance to our key account clients on a rotating team roster

What we're looking for

• Relevant technical experience in electrical, mechanical or building services

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within the door automation industry

• Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• A valid driver's licence

• Commitment to continuous learning and development
