About the role

Cotewell is seeking an experienced Epoxy Floor Coating Applicator to join our growing team in Sydney. You will take a key role in delivering high-quality epoxy flooring solutions to our clients. As an Epoxy Floor Coating Applicator, you will be responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing epoxy coatings on a variety of floor surfaces, ensuring every project meets our exacting standards for durability and aesthetic appeal. This role is essential to maintaining Cotewell's reputation for excellence in the building trades sector.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing floor surfaces through cleaning, grinding, patching and levelling to ensure optimal adhesion of epoxy coatings

2. Mixing epoxy resin components to the correct specifications and consistency

3. Applying epoxy coatings using appropriate techniques such as rollers, squeegees, and brushes to achieve uniform coverage

4. Finishing coated floors with topcoats, anti-slip additives, or decorative elements as required

5. Maintaining and cleaning application equipment and tools

6. Adhering to health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

7. Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as an epoxy floor coating applicator or similar role in the building trades industry

2. Proficiency in surface preparation techniques and knowledge of epoxy coating systems

3. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to coating applications

4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

5. Physical fitness and manual dexterity to perform coating application tasks effectively

6. Reliable transport and ability to travel to job sites across Sydney

7. Valid driver's licence is required.

8. Relevant qualifications such as a White Card (general construction induction) or equivalent

9. Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions

10. Preferably, experience with decorative or specialised epoxy finishes

11. Familiarity with modern coating application equipment and technology
