About the role

Choices Flooring Shepparton is seeking a skilled and experienced Flooring Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position based in Shepparton, VIC 3630, where you will be responsible for the professional installation of a wide variety of flooring products in residential and commercial properties. As a Flooring Installer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality results that directly impact customer satisfaction and the reputation of our business. What you'll be doing

1. Measuring, cutting, and fitting various types of flooring materials including timber, laminate, vinyl, and carpet to specifications

2. Preparing and levelling subfloors to ensure proper installation and longevity of flooring products

3. Removing existing flooring and managing site preparation in a safe and efficient manner

4. Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized flooring equipment to complete installations to a high standard

5. Liaising with customers to understand their requirements and ensuring their expectations are met

6. Adhering to health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work site

7. Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used on each project

8. Travelling to various installation sites within the Shepparton region and surrounding areas

9. Collaborating with colleagues and management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Flooring Installer with a strong track record of quality workmanship

2. Proficiency in installing multiple flooring types including timber, laminate, vinyl, and carpet

3. Sound knowledge of flooring preparation techniques, adhesives, and underlayment materials

4. Competency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized flooring installation equipment

5. Ability to read and interpret measurements, plans, and technical specifications accurately

6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering work that meets or exceeds customer expectations

7. Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions

8. Current driver's Licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites

9. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual Labour and work at heights where required

10. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the flooring industry

11. Relevant certifications or qualifications in flooring installation (preferred)
