About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Stylist to join our team at Flavas Hair Beauty in Everton Park, QLD. This is a casual/part- time position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a talented team of hair professionals. As a Qualified Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair styling services to our diverse clientele, ensuring every client leaves feeling satisfied and confident.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, colour, styling and treatments tailored to client needs and preferences

2. Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend appropriate styling solutions

3. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards and salon protocols

4. Manage client bookings and maintain accurate records of services provided

5. Contribute to a positive salon atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships

6. Stay current with industry trends, techniques and products to deliver contemporary styling services

7. Support team members and collaborate to ensure smooth salon operations

8. Follow all health and hygiene protocols and use products safely and responsibly

What we're looking for

1. Current formal qualification in hairdressing or hair styling from a recognised training provider

2. Proven experience working as a hairstylist in a salon environment

3. Strong technical skills in hair cutting, colouring, styling and treatments

4. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients

5. Professional approach to personal presentation and salon standards

6. Ability to work flexibly, including during peak salon hours and weekends as required

7. A genuine passion for hair and beauty and keeping up with current industry trends

8. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

9. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work
