North Shore BMW are seeking a motivated and hard-working Technician to join our workshop team in Artarmon, NSW.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair petrol engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brake systems using advanced diagnostic tools (ODIS, GDS, Techstream).
· Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups.
· Detect and troubleshoot faults in mechanical and electrical systems using computerized diagnostic equipment.
· Dismantle and reassemble engine assemblies, gearboxes, and other components.
· Replace worn or defective parts and ensure proper calibration and performance.
· Maintain accurate service documentation and adhere to manufacturer standards.
· Collaborate with workshop teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Conduct post-repair testing and fine-tuning of engines, transmissions, suspension, and brake systems to confirm proper operation and performance in line with manufacturer diagnostic parameters.
Employment Requirements:
· Minimum 6 years of full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic (Light Vehicle).
· Work with European brands is highly preferable.
· Proven ability to use diagnostic systems such as ODIS, GDS, Techstream, and OBD II.
· Strong understanding of automatic transmission systems (AT, DCT, CVT, AMT).
· Ability to interpret technical manuals and service documentation.
· Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a busy and high-pressure environment.
Qualification Requirements:
· Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification (Australian qualification is highly preferable).
· A qualification in Automotive Technology is desirable.
· Additional certifications in Automotive Electrical Systems, Engine Tune-Up, or Transmission Systems are highly advantageous.
