Service Technician

Vemag Australia is the leading Food Processing and Packaging Equipment supplier in Australia and New Zealand.  Vemag Australia is a widely renowned company, which is part of a worldwide organization of exceedingly high quality and popular food industry machinery. From our Head Office in Redland Bay, Queensland, we support a number of Sales Managers and Service Technicians throughout Australia and New Zealand.  Due to continual growth of our organisation, we are currently seeking a capable and enthusiastic Service Technician (Electrical / Mechanical Trade Qualified).  This role is based throughout VIC, with some interstate travel when required.

The Role:

You will be working on a range of tasks involving electrical, instrument, mechanical, and control systems on the machinery, including the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of equipment on site, as well as carrying out scheduled servicing.  Working closely with customers adopting a consultative approach in understanding their needs and providing solutions to further expand and improve their existing systems by providing training, technical support and on the job quotations, will help you build great business relationships within the industry.  There are opportunities to complete projects and upgrade works on new and existing sites – as well as generating new leads.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

A degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical engineering and / or electrical engineering, or a related technical field is required

Current drivers licence

MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN

To be a perfect fit for this role, you should have:

Industry experience within Food Processing and Packaging Machine Industry will be highly regarded

Good physical fitness

Reliable and punctual

High level problem solving abilities and a keen interest in ongoing learning within the industry.

Willing and able to help generate further business with existing customers

Able to work simultaneously on multiple projects, both autonomously and as a part of the team.
