About Us:
Quarry & Mining Manufacture (QMM), a subsidiary of Tasmea Limited, delivers expert design, manufacture, fabrication, and maintenance services to sectors including construction materials (concrete, quarrying, cement, asphalt), mining, minerals, infrastructure, recycling, and metal refining.

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

These roles are predominantly site-based, with occasional workshop duties, working across quarry, Batch plant and Bitumen facilities throughout Melbourne and surrounding semi-rural locations.

This is a great opportunity for tradespeople who enjoy variety in their day-to-day work. You’ll be part of a supportive team environment with consistent overtime opportunities available.

About the Role:
As a trades person, you'll be involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fixed plant equipment across quarrying and materials handling operations. Your focus will be on ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficient operation across a range of mechanical systems including crushers, conveyors, screens, and related plant.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Conduct fault finding, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Install, maintain and repair fixed plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, etc.)
• Perform component replacements, mechanical rebuilds, and alignments
• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work closely with supervisors to meet project deadlines and production targets

What You’ll Need:
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in general welding processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
• Confined Space & Working at Heights (within 2 years) or willingness to obtain
• EWP, Scissor Lift, and Boom Lift tickets (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
