Optic Security Group (OSG) have an opportunity for a Security Technician to provide and be responsible for performing skilled technical work. This role will see you sit across installation, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of solutions for data, voice and security systems.
You will work with a small team of skilled Security Technicians across a broad spectrum of sites. The work you'd be tasked with sits across developing, installing, and servicing solutions for electronic security by integrating access control, intruder detection, and CCTV systems. You will use a variety of commercial security systems including Gallagher, Integrity, ICT, as well as a range of CCTV systems.
This role will also see you work with a variety of clients, from top tier security clearance businesses to your local down the way. No matter the client, keeping them involved and informed at all stages is key, as is ensuring not only industry specific standards are adhered to, but client standards and practices as well.

What you'll bring
This won’t be your first rodeo; you’ll have the experience to back the skills needed, having worked as a Security Technician before. Installing, repairing, wiring, and testing, you know what to do and how to do it…you may even have your own tools of the trade ready for action...if not, we can help you out there.
- Previous experience as a Security Technician for a minimum of three years.
- Valid and current driver’s license is essential – you’ll be hitting the road to visit client sites.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Electronic Security.
- Knowledge and experience with Integrity and Gallagher security systems and products.
- Analytical capability and the ability to comprehend and solve technical problems and issues.
- Excellent communication, organisation, time management and customer service skills.
- Possess relevant QLD Security Clearances.
- Currently have, or the ability to gain a Security Licence, Defence Clearance, NV1 High Security Clearance and Rail Industry Workers Clearance.
