YOUR ROLE
As a KEY member of this winning team of intellectual property specialists, reporting to the CEO/Founding Director, you will enjoy the autonomy+ stimulation+ challenge of advising/creating strategies to protect+ enforce the patent rights of your local/international clients.
Key responsibilities include: drafting, reviewing, analysing & prosecuting applications, portfolio management, opposition/ opinion work and liaising with commercial advisors/lawyers.

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
have a minimum of 5 years+ post-qualification experience [up to senior associate or principal] as a registered Australian/NZ patent attorney [or are an overseas qualified patent attorney currently nearing qualification in Australia/NZ];
have a degree or higher qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar;
have hands-on experience in prosecuting BOTH chemistry and also mechanical patents [eg consumer products, medical devices, automotive, machinery etc] + preferably oppositions.
have strong technical, analytical + communication/people skills + strong commercial acumen;
are ambitious+ serious about carving out a LONG-TERM successful career with a vibrant successful non-traditional firm that has the resources to support and help you to reach your full potential.
