Gardener Maintenance Person – Live-in Role

Rare opportunity to live and work on a stunning rural property.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Gardener/Maintenance Person to live on-site full time and take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of a private heritage listed estate.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a rural lifestyle and takes pride in high standards of gardening, maintenance and property care.

You will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities, as well as ensuring the property remains secure, functional, and well-presented at all times.

The property is currently undergoing refurbishment and is due to reopen as a luxury function centre in 2027.

About the Role

This hands-on position includes a range of outdoor and general property maintenance tasks, including:

Gardening & Grounds Care

• Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain garden beds to a high standard

• Manage irrigation systems and watering schedules

• Prune trees and maintain landscaped areas

• Monitor plant health and control pests as required

Property & Maintenance Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs to buildings, fencing, and infrastructure

• Maintain and operate outdoor facilities including pool systems and tennis court

• Perform regular checks to ensure the property is secure and in good working order

• Assist with general upkeep of water infrastructure

• Maintain gardening equipment and machines

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in gardening, groundskeeping and property maintenance

• Sound knowledge of garden equipment, tools, and systems

• Good initiative, attention to detail, and time management

• A current Driver's Licence

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Immediate start preferred
