OTR Tyre Fitter

About the role

Titan Ind Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled OTR Tyre Fitter to join our team that is interested in completing a HD Apprenticeship. This is a casual position that plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of off-the-road tyres used in mining and resources operations. As an OTR Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, removal, repair and maintenance of large-format tyres used on heavy equipment in the mining and energy sectors. This role is essential to keeping our clients' operations running smoothly and safely.

What you'll be doing

1. Installing and removing OTR tyres on mining and construction equipment of various sizes

2. Performing tyre repairs, patch work and maintenance to industry standards

3. Inspecting tyres for damage, wear and safety compliance before and after fitting

4. Operating tyre fitting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

5. Maintaining accurate records of tyre servicing and maintenance work completed

6. Ensuring all work meets relevant safety regulations and quality standards

7. Collaborating with other team members to meet operational deadlines

8. Reporting equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience and qualifications as an OTR tyre fitter or in a similar tyre fitting role within the mining, resources or construction industries

2. Strong knowledge of OTR tyre specifications, repair techniques and fitting procedures

3. Proficiency in operating tyre fitting equipment and machinery

4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards

5. Current driver's licence (Australian)

6. Relevant certifications or licences for tyre fitting work

7. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
