Trades Assistant

Cascade (Australia) Pty Ltd is part of the global Cascade Corporation, our head office is in Portland, Oregon in the USA.  In Australia, we have a significant operation located at Darra in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. We manufacture and supply a broad range of forks, attachments and accessories to the Materials Handling Market.  

Currently, there is an opportunity for a casual Trade Assistant to join us at our Darra Facility. Work close to home and enjoy a 4-day work week with overtime available on Friday.

The ideal candidate would be a mechanically minded person with the ability to work autonomously and independently, with experience in fitting, hand tools and parts picking. Have a willingness to participate and a commitment to product quality. Full onsite training is provided to ensure success within the position.  

Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment would be an added bonus but not essential. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Parts picking 

• Fitting, assembling and testing components

• Working with hand tools

• Forklift operations
