Who You Are

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and maintain garden beds, including soil preparation, planting, mulching, and fertilising.

• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, hedges, lawns, and other garden features.

• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes and gardens.

• Perform lawn and turf maintenance activities including mowing, edging, and aeration.

Assist with selecting landscaping materials, plants, and garden features for landscaping projects.

• Monitor plant health and apply appropriate treatments when required.

• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools such as mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and pruning tools.

• Plan and carry out landscaping and garden maintenance work for residential and commercial properties.

• Construct and install landscaping features including garden borders, pathways, retaining walls, turf, and decorative features.

Lay instant turf and establish lawn areas for residential and commercial landscapes.

•Prepare landscape sites, including soil preparation, levelling, spreading topsoil, and preparing seedbeds

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures when operating tools, machinery, and handling landscaping materials.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure landscaping projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

• Applicants must hold an AQF Certificate III in a relevant field with two years of on-the-job training, or alternatively, have at least three years of relevant work experience as a Landscape Gardener or similar role in landscaping and garden maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of plant care, soil preparation, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.

• Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
