Painter (Rope Access)

All Trades Abseiling Pty Limited is seeking a skilled Painter specialising in rope access works to perform painting and surface preparation on building façades and external structures across Sydney.

The role involves working at height using rope access systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, grinding, cleaning and removal of existing coatings
• Apply paints, sealants and protective coatings to external structures and façades
• Perform minor concrete repairs, including patching, crack filling and surface levelling
• Operate rope access systems to safely perform work at height
• Inspect surfaces and ensure appropriate preparation prior to coating application
• Maintain tools, equipment and rope access systems
• Follow site safety procedures, SWMS and risk assessments
• Ensure work is completed to high quality and durability standards

Qualification & experience

Skills and Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience as a Painter or similar role
• Demonstrated experience in surface preparation and application of coatings
• Experience working on external structures, façades or construction sites
• Knowledge of painting materials, finishes and protective coatings
• Ability to work at heights safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• IRATA Rope Access Certification (Level 1, 2 or 3) or equivalent
• Relevant trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III)
• Construction White Card (required)
• Working at heights certification (required)

Highly desirable:

• Experience in industrial or commercial painting projects
