Service Technician

About the Role

This is a full-time position involving the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and mechanical systems. The role requires a hands-on, motivated tradesperson capable of working independently and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and mechanical services systems

· Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical and electrical components

· Preventative maintenance and routine system inspections

· Handling refrigerants in accordance with safety and environmental regulations

· Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

· Ensuring all work complies with Australian Standards and WHS requirements

· Completing service reports and job documentation accurately

· Providing professional customer service on-site

Skills and Experience Required

· Relevant qualification in Airconditioning and Refrigeration (Certificate III)

· Minimum 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience preferred

· Current ARC Refrigeration Handling Licence (or ability to obtain)

· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Good communication and time-management skills

· Current Australian driver’s licence

Desirable (but not essential)

· Experience with residential and commercial systems

· Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence

· Experience with split systems, ducted systems, and commercial refrigeration
