Task & responsibilities

The safe transport and loading of goods ensuring all relevant requirements are met.

Ensuring that pre-start safety checks are completed on the vehicle and if required complete or organise maintenance or repairs

Responsibility for the proper collection, processing and handling of freight con-notes and other freight documentation including, but not limited to, Pallet, load sheets, timesheets, and daily run sheets

Inspecting loads for damage or issues, report problems and offer suggestions or solutions

Complying with pallet management and control procedures

Communicating with forklift operators, fleet controllers and transport managers from Uptown Logistics and other terminals to ensure correct freight is collected and loaded safely

Following correct manual handling techniques and ensure seating is ergonomic and comfortable

To actively promote positive cultural behaviours and attitudes in support of company ethos

Qualification & experience

Valid Australian MC Driver’s Licence

At least 1 year of experience is required

Strong understanding of Load Restraint and Fatigue Management

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and more importantly a fantastic, can-do attitude; and
