Metal Machinist

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Reporting to the Workshop Manager and Foreman you will be required to carry out tasks as directed.

• Operating both manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, and other equipment

• studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements

• Use of sheet metal and section rolling machinery
• Operate press brake and other bending machines.
• Develop jigs and other devises to increase production efficiency.
• Conduct Quality Assurance on parts and assemblies to ensure compliance.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV

• (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) Minimum 5 - 10 years’ of workshop experience

• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Flexible and able to engage confidently with co-workers and management.
• An eye for detail combined with a positive attitude.
• Ability to interpret drawings and carry out detailed site measuring
• Be willing to work with different materials and varying tasks.
• Good English skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening.
