Hairdresser

Midvale Barber is seeking an experienced and motivated Hairdresser to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide professional hairdressing and grooming services while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high presentation standards within the salon.

The role involves consulting with clients to understand their grooming and styling preferences, performing hair cutting and styling services, and recommending suitable hair care products and treatments. You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure a positive and professional experience for all customers.

Task & responsibilities

• Consult with clients regarding hairstyles, grooming preferences, and hair treatments 
• Cut, trim, shave, taper, and style hair and beards using scissors, clippers, and razors 
• Perform hair colouring, bleaching, and treatment services where required 
• Recommend suitable hair care and styling products to clients 
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the salon 
• Manage appointments and ensure excellent customer service 
• Keep up to date with current hair and grooming trends 
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained 
• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily salon operations 

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Hairdressing or Barbering preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of full-time relevant work experience as a Hairdresser or Barber 
• Strong knowledge of modern hair cutting and styling techniques 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills 
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment 
• Professional presentation and positive attitude 
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices within a salon environment
