As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards, and ensuring food is served in a timely manner. You will assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, follow food safety and hygiene regulations, and support the kitchen team in daily operations. The role also includes monitoring stock levels, properly storing food supplies, reducing waste, and ensuring all dishes meet customer expectations. You may also assist with basic food preparation planning and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and overall customer satisfaction.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be required to perform the following:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Inspecting food ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and quality standards
Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment
Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals according to established recipes and standards
Adding seasonings, spices, and flavorings during the cooking process
Portioning meals appropriately and garnishing dishes with sauces, gravies, and accompaniments
Storing food items safely in temperature-controlled storage areas
Preparing meals that accommodate special dietary needs and customer preferences
Assisting with menu planning and estimating ingredient and food supply requirements
Supporting the training and guidance of junior kitchen staff and apprentices
Qualifications and Experiance:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.
Or AQF Certificate IV
