$80,000 - $90,000 Annual

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality.
  • Perform functional checks and preventative maintenance functions.
  • Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring equipment.
  • Install all types of commonly used wiring and wiring accessories.
  • Install electrical equipment such as motor starters, controllers, switchgear, switchboards, busbars, transformers, and panel control.
  • Locate and repair faults in electrical installations and equipment.
  • Identify different types of wires and cables.
  • Carry out mechanical fitting and assembling works relevant to heavy current equipment, and machine or fabricate parts for such equipment.
  • Install meters, instruments, relays, and protection equipment.
  • Inspect, test, commission and maintain electrical installation equipment.
  • Wear supplied Company Uniform and ensure PPE is used which complies to the task you are performing.
  • Correctly instruct, supervise, and transfer skill to any apprentice and semi-skilled worker assigned to your to ensure safety and quality of work.
  • Ensure job schedules are adhered to.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all tools and equipmet maintained and cleaned.
  • Maintain registration as an electrical worker.
  • Carry out duties as instructed by supervisor that have relevance to the workplace.
  • Loading and Delivery/Pickup of switchboards/materials.
  • Communicate and implement Company policies and procedures.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Current Electrical Practitioner's Licence (desirable)
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certification (desirable)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications, wiring and circuit diagrams, and building plans (required)
  • Workable knowledge of computer systems (required)

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Good communication, maths, and science skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to follow instruction and work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Fit and healthy.
  • Not colourblind.
