LANDSCAPE GARDENER

As a Landscape Gardener at EcoPro Landscape, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and values sustainable gardening and landscaping practices. 

You will work as part of a supportive team delivering ongoing maintenance and improvement works across a variety of sites.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning and construction of garden landscapes for commercial and residential clients
• Constructing gravel and paved areas, garden walls, fences, trellises, ponds and other garden furniture
• Perform routine landscape and garden maintenance across commercial and residential properties
• Lawn care including mowing, edging, aeration, top-dressing, and general turf management
• Pruning, hedging, weeding, mulching, and seasonal garden clean-ups
• Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and garden beds
• Apply fertilisers, soil conditioners, and treatments in line with eco‑friendly practices
• Weed, pest, and disease control in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines
• Assist with irrigation system checks and basic maintenance
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and machinery safely
• Identify and report plant health issues or site concerns
• Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and customer services on all sites

Qualification & experience

Essential:

• Previous experience in landscape gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance
• Knowledge of plants, lawns, and general garden care
• Ability to operate common landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Good time management and reliability
• White Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Current MR Driver’s Licence
• Ride-on mower experience
• Pesticide Spray Licence
• Traffic Management Ticket

Desirable:

• Certificate II or III in Horticulture or similar qualification
• Experience in commercial landscape maintenance
• Familiarity with sustainable and environmentally responsible landscaping practices
• Basic irrigation knowledge
