Painter and Decorator

DAR Painting Services Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Painter to join our team to fill a full-time position (38 hours a week). The position will be based in Brisbane metropolitan area (QLD 4169)

Requirements:

Work Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of work experience plus related formal qualifications.
• Knowledge of painting techniques.
• Able to work on their own

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Experienced painting walls, ceilings, trim and woodwork.
• Experience with new and repaint work.
• Superior surface preparation skills.
• Safely handling and appropriately disposing of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials.
• Examination of surfaces to determinate works to be done
• On-site preparation of work areas (ladders, scaffoldings and others access structures, protective materials, etc)
• Experienced in preparing surfaces, removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.

Soft Skills:

· High attention to details

· Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.

· Teamwork and autonomy in carrying out assigned tasks.

· Time management and organisational skills to meet repair deadlines. Maintain the workplace in a safe condition

· Use personal protective equipment

Qualifications and Certifications:

· Certificate III in Painting and decoration.

· Valid driver's licence.

· High Risk Work Licence (preferred).

· White card (preferred)

· Asbestos Awareness Card (preferred)

· EWPA Licence (Preferred)
