Welder (First Class)

About the Role

In this hands-on position, you will undertake welding and fabrication across a range of steel, stainless steel and aluminium components. You will work on projects for diverse industry sectors, supporting both workshop fabrication and onsite work as required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing high-quality welding in compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Fabricating and preparing metal structures and components.
• Conducting welding quality checks and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborating with machinists, fitters and engineers to deliver completed assemblies.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and the work area to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

• Certification as a First Class Welder or equivalent.
• Extensive welding experience in a heavy fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
