Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

Slush Puppie Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to maintain, service, and install refrigeration and HVAC systems across our sites and client locations.

This role aligns with Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic role and focuses on ensuring reliable temperature-controlled environments for our beverage machines, storage systems, and customer service outlets. You will play a key role in maintaining high operational performance and equipment uptime.

Task & responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose and repair commercial airconditioning and refrigeration systems
• Install new refrigeration and HVAC units in stores and operational sites
• Inspect components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls and electrical systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and prolong equipment life
• Respond to emergency call-outs and rectify faults with urgency and quality workmanship
• Complete accurate job reports, service logs, and compliance documentation
• Advise on part replacement, system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions
• Maintain tools, equipment and work vehicles in a safe and compliant condition
• Comply with all WHS, EPA, refrigeration licensing and refrigerant handling regulations
• Liaise professionally with internal teams, store managers and external suppliersa

Qualification & experience

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Cert III Refrigeration & Air Conditioning – or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year experience in commercial refrigeration and airconditioning servicing.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and system specifications
• Excellent communication skills and professional customer service approach
• Experience in food & beverage or retail equipment systems advantageous
