The Electronic Equipment Trades Worker will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic equipment and systems in accordance with ANZSCO 342313 standards.
• Installing, maintaining, testing and repairing electronic equipment and systems
• Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies according to technical specifications
• Diagnosing faults in electronic equipment using specialised testing instruments
• Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Replacing or repairing defective components such as circuit boards, connectors, microchips, screens, and internal hardware
• Testing equipment after repair to ensure proper functionality and compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Calibrating and adjusting electronic instruments and systems
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
• Providing technical advice and recommendations to customers regarding electronic equipment use and maintenance
• AQF Certificate III or IV in Electronics and Communications or equivalent qualification
• At least 1–2 years of relevant trade experience (or as required by ANZSCO skill level)
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry, fault-finding techniques, and diagnostic procedures
• Ability to use electronic testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
