About the role:

Are you passionate about baking and ready to bring your skills to a thriving Australian bakery? We are now seeking a full-time, experienced Baker with a passion for baking techniques to join our team. To be considered for this role, the candidate must be able to work well independently as well as with a team in fast paced environment. Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Plan, prepare, and bake a wide range of bakery products, including bread, rolls, buns, pastries, meat pie and sausage roll production
• Mix, cut, mould, and shape doughs and pastry, including pastry fillings
• Working out doughs from scratch 
• Operate ovens to consistently produce high-quality bakery items
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and make orders within budget
• Maintain quality, quantity, and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with team members and the manager to ensure top-quality products
• Clean and maintain bakery machinery and equipment safely
• Adhere strictly to OH&S standards

What we are looking for:

• Certificate III in Baking or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of baking experience
• Strong knowledge of bread production and planning
• Expertise in working doughs from scratch, shaping, proofing, and baking
• Basic sourdough knowledge is required
• Experience in pastry production, including meat pies and sausage rolls
• Commitment to clean, safe, and efficient working practices

Job Details

Type – Full-time permanent

Salary – AUD 76,515 per year plus superannuation
