About the role

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Hub Manager to lead our Toowong Hub and four outreach sites across Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to shape local operations, drive participant outcomes, and build a high-performing, motivated team.

A key part of this role is strengthening communication and community connection with our specialist Deaf and hard-of-hearing cohort.

As Hub Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality Inclusive Employment Australia services. You'll provide leadership and mentoring to staff, ensure contract compliance, and drive operational excellence while keeping participants at the centre of everything we do.

This is a full-time role located in Toowong with some travel to our outreach sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and performance managing staff

  • Driving sustainable employment outcomes and meeting monthly targets

  • Building strong partnerships with employers, referral sources, community organisations, and stakeholders

  • Monitoring performance, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with IEA contract requirements, ISO 9001, and NSDS standards

  • Championing continuous improvement and identifying growth opportunities

  • Representing Sign for Work at industry forums, networks, and community events

Having now transitioned into the Inclusive Employment Australia program, we deliver specialist services in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.

With deep connections across the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community, we work alongside participants, families, employers, and stakeholders to achieve lasting outcomes.

About you

We are looking for a strong leader who is:

  • Experienced: 5+ years in DES or related fields, with at least 2 years in a management role

  • Strategic: proven ability to deliver outcomes in a target-driven environment

  • Skilled: strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and operational management abilities

  • Values-driven: committed to respect, accountability, cooperation, and service

What you'll need

Tertiary qualification in management, business, or human services, or equivalent experience

Candidates without tertiary qualifications may be considered with a minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in management or human services roles.

This role also requires the following checks and clearances, in line with DCA policies:

  • Working With Children Check (Employee)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia

  • Police Check

  • Two referees

  • Valid driver's licence and own car

An international police check will be required if you have lived or worked overseas in the last 10 years.
