Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a program that aims to provide specialist support to people living with disabilities seeking employment.

The Opportunity

The purpose of the Diversity Recruitment Specialist is to build and maintain relationship with employers, ensuring employers are aware and open to hiring individuals with disabilities. As a Diversity Recruitment Specialist, you will focus on engaging with employers and identifying suitable job opportunities that match each participant’s skills and goals.

Job type: Max Term Full-time, ending on 31 October 2027 

Location: Ashfield, Redfern and Leichardt NSW (some travel may be required across the region)

Salary: $65,866 per annum + super and $15,900 in salary packaging + monthly RDOs

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Connecting participants/clients to inclusive job opportunities through reverse marketing.
  • Conducting assessments of prospective workplaces ensuring accessibility and cultural safety of participants.
  • Facilitate job search workshops for groups using interactive methods, focusing on resume building, interview preparation and other employment readiness topics.
  • Support employers with accepting and processing wage subsidies within the timeframe.
  • Maintaining accurate records of participant interactions and compliance with all guidelines.
  • Provide continuous post-placement support to both employers and participants.
  • Meeting performance indicators by converting sale leads into placements

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in target based, fast paced environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people across different cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Satisfactory background checks including Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)    
  • Knowledge of and commitment to child safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance and Motor Vehicle Registration
