Ghanda Clothing is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead operations at our Marion, South Australia store. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a proactive, customer-focused individual who is passionate about retail and has a genuine desire to develop their team and grow with the business.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Marion store, leading a high-performing team to ensure all operational, service, and sales standards are consistently met. There is a genuine pathway for the right candidate to progress into a multi-store management role, overseeing additional locations across South Australia as the business continues to expand in the region.

Task & responsibilities

Store Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate a team of up to 30 team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture
  • Manage staff scheduling, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career development for all store personnel
  • Ensure Ghanda's values, service standards, and workplace policies are consistently upheld across all team members
  • Conduct regular team briefings, training sessions, and one-on-one performance conversations to drive engagement and development

Operational Management

  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of the Marion store, ensuring all procedures and compliance requirements are met
  • Prepare and manage store rosters, sales reports, and operational documentation
  • Ensure the store meets visual merchandising standards in line with Ghanda's national guidelines at all times
  • Work with the Stock Allocator to ensure appropriate stock levels and maximise floor space efficiency
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and pricing accuracy
  • Ensure stores comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements and internal protocols

Sales, Customer Service & Financial Management

  • Drive sales performance, ensure achievement of store KPIs, and deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience
  • Ensure prompt, high-quality customer service and effectively resolve customer enquiries and complaints
  • Monitor and manage store budgets, sales performance, and expenses to ensure store profitability
  • Analyse sales data and provide regular reporting to head office, with recommendations for performance improvement

Multi-Store Management

  • For a suitable candidate with demonstrated capability, the role carries the opportunity to progress into oversight of multiple Ghanda locations across South Australia
  • In a multi-store capacity, responsibilities will extend to supporting additional store managers, aligning multi-site performance with company goals, and working closely with the head office team on regional growth initiatives

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in a fashion, apparel, or fast-paced consumer retail environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a store management role, with responsibility for leading and developing a team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, motivate, and manage a team of up to 30 staff members
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance, meet targets, and deliver a customer-first retail experience
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, stock control, visual merchandising, and store operations
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial management including budgeting, sales reporting, and expense monitoring
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in multi-store or area management is highly desirable for candidates seeking the senior progression pathway
  • Ability to work independently and manage the store's day-to-day operations with minimal supervision
