Retail Manager – The Indian Grocer & Easy Grocery

The Indian Grocer Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our growing team in Blacktown, NSW. As Retail Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations and strategic growth of our busy retail grocery store, The Indian Grocer, along with supporting our expanding online grocery and home delivery operations through Easy Grocery.

This is a full-time position where you will lead a team of retail associates, warehouse and dispatch staff, and customer service personnel to ensure exceptional customer experiences both in-store and online.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Manage and lead a team of retail and fulfillment staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback 
2. Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, stock rotation, and online order fulfillment 
3. Coordinate home delivery operations and ensure timely dispatch of customer orders through Easy Grocery 
4. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, customer retention, and overall profitability 
5. Monitor and analyse sales, inventory, and operational performance data to identify improvement opportunities 
6. Maintain high standards of customer service across both retail and e-commerce platforms 
7. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, WHS requirements, and company procedures 
8. Build strong supplier relationships and coordinate purchasing activities 
9. Foster a positive, collaborative, and multicultural workplace environment aligned with company values 
10. Support marketing initiatives, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and digital customer engagement activities 

What We're Looking For

1. Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience, preferably within the grocery, supermarket, or FMCG industry 
2. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees 
3. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities 
4. Experience using POS systems, inventory software, and online order management platforms 
5. Strong analytical, organisational, and operational management skills 
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail and delivery environment 
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
8. Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business, or related field preferred
