Store Manager

L'épi is a French artisan bakery group with five locations across Canberra. We bake premium sourdough, pastries and cakes from scratch every day, and we serve Ona Coffee, one of Australia's most respected specialty roasters. We have been part of Canberra's community for four years and we are growing.

We are looking for a Store Manager who is ready to own a shop: the energy, the standards, the team and the results.

You will be on the floor, leading by example, running a tight briefing every morning, coaching your team through the busy rushes and making sure the shop is always at its best.

If you have never had the manager title but you have been the person your team looks to when things get busy, this is your opportunity to make it official.

• Lead the daily 6:50am briefing: wins, challenges, today's focus and product highlights.

• Run a strong opening and closing routine and keep the shop consistently ready.

• Coach your team on customer service: warm greetings, genuine engagement, upselling and complaint recovery.

• Maintain product quality, presentation and hygiene standards at all times.

• Manage stock flow, ordering and communication with the production team.

• Build a team culture people want to stay in: recognise effort, develop skills and hold the line on performance.

• You have solid front-of-house experience in hospitality, café or bakery.

• You have led shifts or acted as the go-to person on the floor, with or without the title.

• You are calm under pressure, organised and fast.

• You hold yourself to a high standard and you hold your team to the same one.

• You communicate clearly, follow through and take ownership when something needs fixing.

• You love people and you love a quality product.
