We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated full-time Retail Manager to join our bakery business based in Maroubra.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bakery and café to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth workflow.
  • Managing product selection, stock levels, and presentation standards to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating purchasing activities, supplier orders, and inventory management to reduce waste and ensure stock availability.
  • Developing and implementing promotional activities, pricing strategies, and visual merchandising initiatives to drive sales.
  • Supporting local marketing efforts and engaging with customers to promote the business and strengthen community presence.
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to sales performance, stock control, financial transactions, and operational activities.
  • Assisting with budgeting, monitoring expenses, and achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Recruiting, training, supervising, and rostering team members to support operational requirements.
  • Ensuring all staff follow company procedures, food safety standards, and customer service expectations.
  • Handling customer feedback, enquiries, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations as well as food handling requirements.
  • Communicating regularly with suppliers and senior management regarding operational needs, stock procurement, and business performance.

What we offer:

  • Salary package of $76,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
  • Full-time position (38 hours per week)
  • Supportive team environment with ongoing training and development opportunities

Requirements:

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, along with at least 1 year of relevant work experience; or
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
