We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join JAM MART PTY LTD. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day retail operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business. The position requires strong leadership, operational efficiency, and the ability to maintain high standards across all aspects of store management in a fast-paced retail environment.
As a Retail Manager at JAM MART PTY LTD, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth workflow, strong team performance, and exceptional customer experiences. You will manage inventory, coordinate staff, monitor sales performance, maintain merchandising standards, and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies to drive business growth.
The role also involves maintaining high standards of store presentation, ensuring product availability, handling customer feedback professionally, and supporting the company’s commitment to quality service and operational excellence. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies and setting prices
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
• Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
• Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
• Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
• Controlling selection, training, and supervision of staff
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services
• Monitoring and analysing sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
• Managing customer feedback and implementing service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
• Coordinating with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory availability
• Developing and implementing staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage and efficient workflow
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
• Previous 1-year relevant experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and customer inquiries.
• Proficiency with inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and retail technology.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
• A results-driven mindset with a desire to meet or exceed sales targets.
WORKING HOURS: Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
