Task & responsibilities

Position: Retail Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day store operations including customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall customer experience

Lead, train, and manage a team to ensure high performance and a positive workplace culture

Manage rostering, labour control, and shift scheduling in line with business requirements

Ensure compliance with food safety standards, WHS requirements, and company policies

Monitor sales performance, budgets, and cost control to achieve store targets

Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Maintain inventory levels, ordering, and stock control procedures

Implement store standards, promotional activities, and operational improvements

Report operational performance to senior management

Qualification & experience

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years’ full-time experience in retail management, hospitality management, café operations, or food service management

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively

Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

Experience in rostering, stock control, and basic financial reporting

Strong understanding of food safety and workplace health & safety standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure

Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
