Be capable of managing the entire store, including departments such as fresh produce and bakery

Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and customers
A relevant Diploma or at least 3 years' experience in retail management
Attending meetings with area managers and relevant authorities when required
Setting pricing and promotional strategies to stay competitive while delivering value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Planning, directing, and coordinating the overall operations of the store
Maintaining high standards of customer service
Overall responsibility for the commercial performance, profitability, and operational management of the store, including budgeting, cost control, and achievement of financial targets
Creating and managing staff rosters within budget guidelines
Managing stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste
Checking deliveries for quality and resolving any issues with suppliers
Preparing weekly sales reports and working with management to improve performance
Reconciling supplier invoices and coordinating with the accounts team
Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff performance
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
