Dhanika PTY LTD operating as Solo Taperoo, a busy petrol station, is currently seeking a proactive, reliable, and experienced Retail Manager to take the lead in running our petrol station located in Taperoo, South Australia. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that the station operates efficiently and delivers outstanding service to the local community.
Type: Full-Time Permanent (38 hours per week)
Location: Taperoo, SA
Remuneration: $77,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation
Start Date: As soon as possible
Plan, organise, direct and control the overall operations of the petrol station, including the fuel forecourt and convenience retail store.
Manage day-to-day store activities to ensure efficient operations, strong sales performance and high standards of customer service.
Recruit, supervise, train and performance-manage retail staff to ensure service quality, productivity and compliance with company policies.
Determine product mix, maintain appropriate stock levels, place orders with suppliers and oversee inventory control and stock rotation.
Monitor sales performance, prepare operational and financial reports, analyse sales trends and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
Develop and implement store promotions, merchandising initiatives and local marketing activities to increase customer engagement and sales.
Oversee cash handling procedures, EFTPOS transactions, daily reconciliations and financial reporting to ensure accurate record keeping.
Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties and manage staffing levels to ensure efficient store coverage across all shifts.
Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety standards, environmental regulations and fuel handling requirements.
Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly while maintaining high standards of service and brand reputation.
Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ideally within a service station or high-volume retail environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff while maintaining high customer service standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Good understanding of inventory management, sales reporting and day-to-day retail operations.
Ability to resolve customer enquiries, staff matters and operational issues effectively and independently.
Reliable and responsible with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
