About us:

Located in Adelaide, the Facilities Category Manager will lead the Facilities Procurement category across a geographically dispersed national business. Manage and develop procurement team members while providing strategic procurement expertise across facilities, construction, fit-out, utilities and fleet spend.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement category strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier performance improvements and risk mitigation.
• Drive a national approach to facilities procurement, identifying opportunities to consolidate suppliers and maximise value.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market engagement, RFx processes, evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Manage procurement for facilities projects, including fit-outs, upgrades and minor construction works.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, forecast demand and provide market insights.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with governance, policy and contractual obligations.
• Lead, coach and support procurement team members to deliver business outcomes.

About you:

Essential

• Significant procurement or category management experience, ideally across facilities, property, construction or infrastructure categories.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring procurement professionals.

• Demonstrated people leadership skills
• Exposure to construction procurement
