The role involves conducting property inspections, analysing market data and preparing valuation reports for residential, commercial, rural and specialised properties, providing accurate valuation advice to support finance, investment and legal decision-making.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Assessing and determining the value of land, residential, commercial, industrial and rural property assets in accordance with professional standards. 
• Conducting physical inspections and evaluating improvements, condition and highest and best use. 
• Analysing comparable sales, rental evidence, market demand, economic indicators and future trends to calculate accurate market value. 
• Selecting and applying appropriate valuation methodologies including comparable sales, income capitalisation and cost approaches. 
• Preparing detailed written valuation reports for mortgage security, taxation, financial reporting, insurance and investment purposes. 
• Researching zoning, planning controls, land use regulations and statutory requirements impacting value. 
• Providing advice on property valuation, financing implications and investment analysis. 
• Reviewing property portfolios and contributing to asset management and development feasibility assessments. 
• Developing and advising on sales and leasing strategies for commercial property. 
• Providing expert valuation opinions in dispute matters, mediation proceedings and rental/compensation determinations. 

Qualification and experience

Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Property, Valuation, Property Economics, or related discipline. 

Minimum 2 years of revelant experience of performing valuation assignments in a professional environment.

Excellent analytical, report writing and stakeholder communication skills.

Numerical skills with an excellent eye for details.
