DGL Warehousing and Distribution provides customized logistics and industry solutions in the area of supply chain management across Australia and New Zealand. Due to growth and new business opportunities, we are currently seeking experienced operations personnel for our Erskine Park (NSW) facility. This permanent full-time role offers great career prospects and an attractive salary package within a global logistics corporation.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources provided. You will be self-motivated, driven to succeed, while ensuring that Safety requirements, exceptional customer service, and operational targets are always achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational performance of warehouse and site transport activities.

  • Supervise warehouse staff, drivers and operational resources to achieve operational objectives and KPIs.

  • Schedule and allocate transport requests and deliveries, including determining subcontractor requirements to achieve DIFOT targets.

  • Monitor driver fatigue in accordance with Company policies, NHVAS/BFM requirements and legislative obligations.

  • Analyse equipment utilisation and operational tasks to optimise routes, resource allocation and subcontractor use.

  • Prepare and review operational reports to assess performance against key performance indicators and business plans.

  • Ensure all vehicle maintenance and repairs are scheduled and completed in accordance with national law and maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure procedures and practices are performed in accordance with the DGL Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System.

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained and hold required licences and certifications to perform their duties safely and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), load restraint, workplace health and safety requirements across warehouse and transport operations.

The Successful Applicant:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within warehousing, logistics or transport operations.

  • Experience leading teams and managing assets in a road transport operation to achieve business objectives.

  • Current forklift licence.

  • Ability to manage resources and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of NHVAS and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements including fatigue management, load planning and mass management.

  • Understanding of Dangerous Goods awareness, segregation requirements and WHS practices.

  • Proficiency with WMS, RF systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
