Underground Mining Production Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists for an Underground Production Engineer to join a well-established Australian mining operation with significant mine life and ongoing investment in underground growth projects.

Working within a collaborative technical team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and profitable underground production outcomes.

This opportunity is ideal for graduate and mining engineers looking to accelerate their career within a high-performing underground operation, as well as offering an opportunity for engineers working towards completing their required underground time.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement short-term production plans aligned with operational targets.
Prepare and optimise stope designs, drill and blast plans, and production schedules.
Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
Work closely with underground operations, geology, planning, and technical services teams.

About You

Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience in underground hard rock mining environments.
Strong understanding of production engineering principles, drill and blast, and underground mining methods.
Experience with Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, or comparable mining software (advantageous).
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across technical and operational teams.
