About QAMH

Queensland Alliance for Mental Health is the peak body for Queensland's community mental health and wellbeing sector, representing more than 146 member organisations. We advocate, build capacity, and drive reform so that all Queenslanders can access quality community mental health care.

The Role

This is a hands-on design and digital role that sits at the heart of how QAMH communicates with its members, partners, and the public. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Engagement and Impact, you'll bring our advocacy, campaigns, projects and events to life visually from social media tiles and event collateral to web pages and publications. If you're someone who takes pride in clean, consistent design work, enjoys the variety of a small and purposeful team, and wants your skills to contribute to something that matters, this role is worth a look.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and producing digital and print assets including social media tiles, event collateral, and resources using Canva and Adobe Suite

  • Building and updating pages on QAMH's WordPress website (using Elementor), including dedicated pages for projects like Queensland Mental Health Week

  • Supporting the production of publications, reports, and templates in line with QAMH's brand standards

  • Completing and distributing our regular email distributions via Mailchimp

  • Maintaining a well-organised library of design files, templates, and brand assets

  • Completing delegated communications tasks as part of QAMH's broader communications calendar

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design and producing digital assets for a range of formats and channels

  • Proficiency in Canva and at least one Adobe Suite product (InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop)

  • Solid experience managing and updating WordPress websites, ideally using Elementor

  • A strong eye for layout, typography, and visual consistency in line with branding guidelines

  • The ability to work to brief, meet deadlines, and manage your own workload independently

  • Experience in the not-for-profit, health, or community services sector is an advantage, as is familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and/or Mailchimp.

Why Join Us?

QAMH is a small team doing important work. The role offers genuine flexibility — remote within Queensland is available for those based outside of Brisbane — and a collegial environment where good work and wellbeing is valued.

To Apply

Submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the critical experience criteria.

Applications close 25th June at 5pm with interviews being held on Monday 29th June.

QAMH is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health challenges, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people from all backgrounds.
