Lead the future of corporate communications at Horizon Power
Horizon Power is seeking a Manager Corporate Communications to lead how we communicate across the organisation and beyond. This is a leadership role responsible for shaping strategic, corporate communications that influence decisions, build trust, and support our role in powering regional Western Australia.
This is not a marketing or branding role - it’s a corporate communications leadership role focused on strategy, influence and impact.
We’re looking for a communications leader who can bring fresh thinking, new ideas and modern approaches to corporate communications. You’ll play a key role in elevating how we engage internally and externally, delivering clear, credible and impactful messaging at the highest levels of the organisation.
What You Will Do
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver Horizon Power’s corporate communications strategy, aligning messaging to our Corporate Strategy, business priorities and direction.
• Develop and deliver CEO and Executive communications, including briefings, presentations and key organisational messaging.
• Oversee internal and external communications and corporate reporting, working as part of the broader Corporate Affairs function to ensure consistency, alignment and credibility across all channels, including stakeholder and government relations.
• Drive innovative and contemporary communication approaches to modernise how we engage with our people and stakeholders.
• Drive and defend corporate reputation through expert leadership of issues and crisis communications, providing expert counsel and strategic guidance when it matters most.
What Sets You Apart
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. You’ll be self-driven, confident in building strong relationships, comfortable introducing new ideas and ways of working, and able to balance strategic thinking with effective and timely delivery. Key requirements for this role:
• A proven leader in corporate communications or public relations, confident engagement with executives and lead high performing teams. A track record of delivering innovative, modern communications strategies that move beyond traditional approaches.
• Experience managing both internal and external communications, including executive messaging, reports, and key stakeholder materials.
• Experience in overseeing the preparation of corporate reporting materials such and annual reports and performance statements.
• Strong judgement, resilience and confidence to manage sensitive and high-risk issues, with the ability to push back, influence and communicate with clarity and professionalism.
• A strategic, outcomes focused mindset with the ability to connect the dots, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
