About the Role

The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, delivery and handling of office furniture and related products to customers across Western Australia. The successful candidate will ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service and vehicle care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport office furniture, equipment and related products.
  • Load, secure, transport and unload goods in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Plan delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and report mechanical faults, damage or maintenance requirements.
  • Complete delivery documentation, consignment notes, logbooks and other transport records accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Verify delivery loads against invoices, manifests and customer orders.
  • Communicate with dispatch personnel, warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and operational requirements.
  • Assist with warehouse and loading activities when required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure goods are handled and transported in a manner that prevents damage during transit.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (HR Licence or higher).
  • Minimum two years of relevant truck driving experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of road transport regulations and safety requirements.
  • Ability to safely load, secure and unload goods.
  • Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Strong time management and route planning skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete transport documentation and records.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks and physical work associated with deliveries.
  • Clean driving record and commitment to workplace safety.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience transporting furniture, commercial equipment or bulky goods.
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience using delivery management or logistics systems.
