We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full time Cold Store Manager to lead and optimise our supply chain and production processes. This critical role ensures the packing and efficient flow of goods from our farm and suppliers to our customers, overseeing inventory management, transportation, warehousing, production and fulfillment. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, improve efficiencies, and uphold our commitment to quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Logistics and Packing Teams.
  • Offer guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Set clear expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance issues.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee stock control, conducting regular audits and managing replenishment.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Work with purchasing and production teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems and documentation.

Transportation & Distribution

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost optimisation.
  • Manage relationships with transportation providers.
  • Monitor transportation performance, track shipments, and address delays proactively.
  • Optimise distribution routes and transport modes for efficiency.

Warehouse & Environment Management

  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper packing, handling, storage, and security of inventory.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse layout and organisation.
  • Improve warehouse and production processes using technological solutions where possible

Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and develop improvement initiatives.
  • Use data analysis and KPIs to monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and Finance to streamline processes.
  • Leverage technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and manage audits, ensuring adherence to HACCP andWork Health and Safety (WHS) regulations as well as Freshcare and HARPS.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to respectfully challenge processes and ideas.
  • Service-driven with a ‘customer first’ attitude.
  • Is Bilingual and able to speak both Mandarin and English

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production, logistics operations and supply chain management in a similar role for at least two years
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Working knowledge of logistics regulations and safety standards (OHS)
