The Role

We are seeking a Planning & Logistics Supervisor to join our team based at Epping, VIC.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

Planning

  • Effective planning and communication with the logistics, manufacturing, external supervisors and subcontractors.                                          
  • Coordinate and communicate customer delivery requirements, schedules to maximise logistics resources (people, time, budget and load efficiency)
  • Coordinate and action the manufacturing planning and final planned delivery date (PDD) of all customer order requirements – in consultation with the relevant stake holders
  • Relevant changes to a PDD
  • Site access and Site requirements
  • Confirmation the Tank base is compliant – Large Rounds and tanks going distance
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or difficult planning issues

 Logistics

  • Allocating and management of Logistic team members with route planning and load planning of trucks to ensure efficient tank deliveries on a day-to-day basis - in conjunction with Logistics Team leader
  • Coordinating of additional staff as required for logistic runs in conjunction with the Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Ensure Logistic staff are up to date with KINEO training requirement
  • Ensure compliance with Pre-Start and Fleetio Requirement – in conjunction with Logistics Team Leader
  • Allocating and management of logistic Vehicles and relevant equipment – in conjunction with Logistics Team leader
  • Overseeing of Vehicle maintenance - in conjunction with Logistics Team leader
  • Management and actioning the staging of the following days loads – in conjunction with the Yard coordinator.
  • Communicating with Logistics team of all required information day prior to PDD
  • Ensure timely processing / shipping of deliveries into Tank Manager

Note: This role requires you to be on site each morning at 6.00am for daily startup 

About You:

  • Experience in planning, logistics, customer service or relevant industry
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Experience in people and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Ability to change, adapt and continuously improve
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Office 365
  • Can influence and communicate effectively across multiple sectors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with adaptable communication style
