Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to maintain and optimise our extensive range of manufacturing and logistical equipment including semi and fully automatic.

Task & responsibilities

• To collaborate with the mechanical engineers, project managers and other team members to ensure seamless coordination in the production process and maintenance of mechanical systems and components.
• Be responsible for drafting plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to local staff
• Assist in the assembly and installation of mechanical components and systems
• Ensure proper alignment, fit and functionality of mechanical equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems during
• development and testing phases
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools and ensure all mechanical tools are in good working order
• Collaborate with engineers in building, assembling and testing mechanical prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and performance requirements
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery, tools, and other equipment
• Promote a safe working environment

Qualification & experience

• A relevant diploma or higher qualification and at least one year of relevant work experience or at least three years of relevant work experience
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment
• Ability to draft and work from technical drawings and specifications
