Full-Time Wood Machinist

About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Wood Machinist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC and traditional woodworking machinery, interpreting technical drawings, producing timber components to exact specifications, and conducting quality checks and maintenance tasks. This is an on-site role at our Landsdale facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CNC machines and woodworking equipment (saws, routers, lathes, planers, sanders).
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Cut, shape, sand, and finish timber components to required specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Liaise with clients professionally regarding project updates and requirements.
• Work collaboratively within a team to meet production deadlines.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Wood Machinist (or equivalent).
• Proficient in operating CNC machines and woodworking tools.
• Experience with Cobus/CAD/CAM or similar design software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
